Virtual Childbirth Education Course

Service Description

This is the 100% virtual option of childbirth education course. We will still meet over Zoom for 4 hours to discuss the material. You will receive The Confident Birth Guide as a digital download prior to class. Pregnant people are often worried or even scared of the possibilities of birth. While labor can follow many different paths and be unpredictable, this course will give you the tools and confidence to have an empowered and informed journey. Please have your birth partner attend this class. We are going to practice labor positioning, coping skills, and partner support techniques. The course will be fun and interactive! After this course, you will... - Feel powerful in knowing what is happening in your body during labor. - Have an appreciation for how you and your baby are working together throughout labor - Have an idea of the tools you want to use during labor to cope with any pain or discomfort. - Have the strategies to advocate for yourselves and your baby - Know how to initiate breast/chestfeeding - Feel prepared to care for your newborn PLEASE NOTE - I am always on-call to attend home births, and the nature of spontaneous birth is unpredictable at times. I usually have some notice if labor is happening, and I will let you know as soon as possible if we need to cancel or reschedule our class due to a birth.
